Dussehra
India is a land of fairs and festivals. they mark important historical events.Some festivals have religious importance ,while some are seasonal festivals .The Dussehra is our important festival. It is celebrated twenty days before diwali. It is celebrated all over india with great pomp and show.On this day Rama got victory oer ravana.On the Dussehra,a big fair is held in the open ground.Shops are set up.Big Black figures of Ravana.Meghnatha and Kumbhkarna are raised. A big procession is taken out. It reaches the dussehra ground in the evening. Men ,women and children,in their best clothes assemble there.when the sun begins to set,the effigies of ravana,meghnatha and Kumbhkarna are set on fire.After this people purchase toys and sweets for their children and return home.The festival teaches is that virtue wins over vice in the long run. It also teaches the devotion of the wife to her husband,obedience to parents and love among brothers. we celebrate this festival wih a great zeal
