The Teacher's Day
The birthday of our late President Dr. Radhakrishnan, 5th September is celebrated in our country as the Teacher's Day. In almost all schools it has become a special annual feature. On this day, in most of the schools a function is arranged. The school is decorated with buntings and balloons. There is no teaching work in the school. Declamation contests are arranged. Monoacting is performed, songs are using, poems are read by the participants. In our school, the headboy conducts the programme. These days, there is a role reversal for a day i.e. The senior students act like the teachers. The teachers become studens instead. A speech is delivered by the Principal to the students. He emphasizes the role played by a teacher. Some teachers also speak on the occasion. In some schools, parents are also mited. At the end some fruits and sweets are distributed to all the students and the function comes to a close.
