Prize Distribution Function of Our College
This year, the prize distribution function of our school was held on 2nd February. A day before the function, a large shamiana was set up in the playground of our school. Sofasets and chairs were arranged under the shamiana for distinguished guests. Three beautiful chairs were placed on a nicely decorated dais, one for the Chief Guest, second for the Chairman of the managing committee and third for our Principal. The Education Minister was to preside over the function. He was schelduled to arrive at 11 a.m. the students and guests started pouring in at 10.15 a.m. The members of the reception committee received the guests. The students occupied their seats in respective sectors. The Chief Guest arrived in time. He was introduced to staff members by the Principal and was led to the pandal in an academic procession. He took his seat and programme started with the recitation of a poem. This was followed by a group song. Then the Principal read the annual report and acquainted the audience with the progress made by the school in various fields. After that the Minister gave away the prizes and in his presidential remarks expressed his joy over the steady progress that school was making. The Chairman thanked the Chief Guest for his vist. The function came to a close with the singing of National Anthem.
