The Republic Day
The 26th of January is a red letter day in the history of India.On this day ,in 1950,the new consitution of free india was adopted and this made india a sovereign Democratic Republic . Since then we have been celebrating this day with great jubilation Throughtout the length and breadth of the country, this day is celebrated with great pomp and show. Processions are organized and Meetings are held.In Delhi especially ,the day is celebrated on a great scale. All government buildings are decorded with lights ,flower and flags.The President escorted by his mounted guards arrives at the saluting base at India Gate.Behind him stand the three chief's of the army ,the navy,and the Air force.The national flag is unfurled and the 31 gun salute is boomed out.The band plays the national anthem.The aeroplane fly overhead,regiments of soldiers pass round followed by student cadets from all over the country .Pageants depicting the life scenes from different parts of the country . From the star attraction of the day.It is memorable day indeed
