Independence day
India became independent on 15th August 1947 and it is a red letter day in the indian history.This day is celebrated in every nook and corner of the country with great enthausiam. Last month, the independence day was celebrated in Dussehra ground in our city. The function was to be presided over by the chief minister.The chief minister arrived at 9:30 am accompanied by the director general of police. A military band was in attendance.At 10 am the chief inister unfurked the national flag.our national anthem was played by the band .then multi coloured balloons and white pigeons were released in the sky . In his short but impressive speech, he advised all the citizens to stand united and bury all the petty differences.Then there was a march past by school children.The march past by N.C.C cadets was very attractive. All night,there are illuminations all around.Celebration of independence day reminds us of the noble souls who sacrified their lives for us. We feel that we have some responsibilities to the nation . Long live our independence.
