The Happiest Day of My Life
Man's life is a mixture of joys and sorrows. The moments of joy come very rarely in his life. Whenever there is an occasion of happiness, man forgets every other thing. Life looks life a sweat dream to him. He enjoys it thoroughtly. 10th June 1999 was the happiest day of my life. It was the day when the result of my final examination was declared. I had stood first. My joy knew no bounds to see my result. My parents hugged me. My friends came to my house to congratulate me. I was thrilled to see their love for me. I gave them a tea party at home. They wanted to know what I proposed to do next. In the afternoon I was sitting among my friends and relatives. Just at that time a courier arrived. He delivered me a letter. When I opened it, my joy knew no bounds. I had won the Punjab State lottery. It was a prize of Rs. Fifteen Lakh. We all went to the temple to thank God. God was really kind to me. The day was really very lucky for me. It has given me joy after joy. I can never forget this day. It will go down as one of the happiest days of my life.
