Rising prices is a serious problem of our country. These days, prices are continuously going up. Every month there is a rise in the prices of things. This has made the life of common man very difficult. The prices of essential things of life are also increasing. The poor people find themselves in great difficulty. They cannot make both ends meet because of rising prices. There are two kinds of consumer things. The first are called luxury items. Television, refrigerators, coolers, furniture etc., are things of luxury. These things are not very essential for life. If their prices go up, only a few people would suffer. The second type of things are essential items of daily life. The pulses, vegetables oil, sugar, spices, wheat, soap etc. are the basic necessities of life. If their prirces go up,millions of people suffer. Their standard of living falls further. Rising prices is a big problem of India. Millions of people in India are below the poverty line. If the prices of essential things go on rising, their life will become more and more difficult. The government must take steps to control the rising prices. The black marketers, smugglers and hoarders should be checked. Fair price shops should be run. Corruption is also one of the reasons of the rising prices. The government should control corruption.
