The Modern Girl
Woman is no longer a shadow of man. She is a class by herself. Her place is not within the four walls of the house. She is not content to be the queen of her household. Her position is quite simple. She is now educated and enlightened. She has clear understanding of the world problems and her own position in it. So she does not feel obliged to follow the dictates of man and play a second fiddle to him. She herself has the abilityto understand things and makes her own assessment of things. The modern girl has proved that she is not inferior to man as far as her mental and spiritual levels are concerned. She can compete with man in all spheres of life. She sometimes beats him either. She st udies science, medicine, technology, art and craft. She works in laboratories, performs delicate operations in hospitals, argues in courts, undertakes difficult diplomatic missions, flies aeroplanes and what not. She does not feel handicapped in any sphere and no field of activity is forbidden for her.
